At Herzog’s Heroes, our awards program is a way to celebrate the individuals, businesses, rescues and breeders who have made a significant impact on our mission of promoting responsible dog welfare, preventing shelter overcrowding, and supporting rescue efforts. These awards highlight the dedication and passion of those who go above and beyond, serving as both recognition and inspiration for others in the community.

By honoring those who contribute through donations, advocacy, volunteer work, and responsible breeding practices, we are fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.     The Hero of the Night Award CELEBRATES THE INDIVIDUAL who has made the most significant contribution during our event, through either donations or sponsorship. This award emphasizes the importance of financial and resource support, which allows Herzog’s Heroes to continue its mission.

    The Community Hero Award HONORS A PERSON who has gone above and beyond in making a positive difference within their community in the realm of dog welfare or animal rescue initiatives. Their dedication is a powerful example of how local heroes can impact the lives of animals in need.

  • Rescue Advocate Award

    The Herzog’s Hero Rescue Advocate Award is PRESENTED TO A RESCUE WORKER who has passionately advocated for rescue dogs and supported efforts to keep dogs out of shelters. This award underscores the importance of rescue advocacy within the broader mission of responsible pet ownership.
