We know that in the animal world, breeders and rescuers have often existed on opposite sides of a tense divide. But we believe the time has come to change that. Because the truth is — we’re not enemies. We’re allies who’ve just never had a clear path to work together.
All Paws In is that path.
It’s not just a slogan. It’s a campaign, a coalition, and a call to action.
Why This Movement Matters
Every year, hundreds of thousands of dogs enter shelters — many of them born into circumstances that were entirely preventable. Poor breeding practices, lack of owner education, and breeders who walk away when things go wrong are at the heart of the problem.
We believe that good breeders already exist — breeders who health test, plan litters, educate buyers, and take dogs back when needed. But they’re not the norm. Yet.
We’re here to change that.
But we can’t do it alone. To raise the standard for breeding and create real accountability, especially through legislation, we need the support and partnership of the rescue and shelter community.
Because no one understands the consequences of irresponsible breeding more deeply — or is more willing to act.
