The Herzog Hardship Fund

Providing Lifelines for Canine Companions in Need

At Herzog's Heroes, we recognize that the well-being of our canine companions is of utmost importance. The Herzog Hardship Fund, a beacon of compassion and support, was established to offer a helping hand during the most challenging times for dog owners.

Origins and Evolution: A Heartfelt Initiative

Initially conceived by Kate Dalman with the intention of aiding her Herzog German Shepherd puppy owners, it affectionately earned the moniker the "Kate Can Sleep At Night Fund," reflecting her concern for the well-being of the pups she nurtured. Following the establishment of Herzog's Heroes, the fund's accessibility broadened, now extending its support to individuals who have acquired a puppy from an HCBA Certified breeder.

Our Commitment: Guiding Principles

The Herzog Hardship Fund embodies our organization's core values of compassion, support, and responsible dog ownership. We understand that emergencies are unexpected, leaving families and their beloved pets in distress. Our commitment is to alleviate this burden by offering financial assistance for essential veterinary procedures, ensuring that dogs receive the care they deserve. Our aim is to ensure that no owner ever feels compelled to make a decision between their dog's well-being and the cost of veterinary care.

Application Process: A Path to Relief

To apply for the Herzog Hardship Fund, individuals can easily access the application form on our dedicated page. After submitting the application, our compassionate team will be in touch if additional information is needed. The Application Committee, composed of individuals dedicated to our cause, will carefully review each application to determine eligibility.

Caring Amid Limitations: Allocation of Funds

Due to the finite nature of our resources, we regret that we cannot extend the fund's assistance to every applicant. The Herzog Hardship Fund operates with the principle of equitable distribution, prioritizing cases of dire need. Awarded funds are directed solely towards the veterinary office responsible for the necessary procedure, ensuring direct and immediate support for the affected pets.

A Beacon of Hope: Uniting Hearts and Paws

The Herzog Hardship Fund stands as a testament to our belief in the power of community, compassion, and responsible dog ownership. With Kate Dalman's visionary leadership and the unwavering dedication of our team, we remain committed to upholding the well-being of dogs and their human companions. Together, we're writing stories of resilience, healing, and hope, one veterinary procedure at a time.
